An energy professional with more than four decades of experience in petroleum engineering, reservoir characterization, and corporate management, Ivor R. Ellul supports Fulcrum LNG in the role of Technical Director where he is involved in a project that will deliver a 5 MTPA gas liquefaction facility offshore South America. Ivor R. Ellul concurrently serves as the managing director of CiSK Ventures, Ltd., where he advises clients across various sectors of the energy industry.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Ellul founded Knowledge Reservoir, a consulting firm with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Oman, and Malaysia. The company provided services for oil and gas projects until its merger with RPS Group in 2013. He has also held senior positions at Schlumberger GeoQuest, Smedvig Technologies, and Scientific Software-Intercomp, where he was involved in technology development and marketing for petroleum engineering applications.
Dr. Ellul earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Malta, and a master’s degree and a doctorate in petroleum engineering from Imperial College, London. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas and a chartered engineer in the United Kingdom. In addition to his corporate roles, he has served on multiple advisory boards, lectured as a visiting professor at Imperial College, and collaborated with professional organizations such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the Pipeline Simulation Interest Group.
